| The South Florida Water Management District plans to conduct a prescribed burn of up to 325 acres in the Grassy Island/Taylor Creek Management Unit in Okeechobee County today, Tuesday, December 10, 2024. The burn unit is located in the Grassy Island/Taylor Creek Management Unit on Hillard Road, west of Highway 441 and north of the City of Okeechobee. Smoke may be visible in the area of the burn as identified in the map below. |
