On January 14, 2025, the South Florida Water Management District plans to burn up to 420 acres in Osceola County. The burn unit is in the Kissimmee River Public Use Area – Blanket Bay unit, on US 60, east of the Kissimmee River bridge. Smoke may be visible in the area of the burn as identified in the attached map.
