FAQ

Your personal fundraising page will allow you to track your progress and thank your friends for supporting the FTA.

When you click the Start Now button you will be taken to a "Connecting People & Places" page that gives you the option to make a donation.

 

Click "Create my own fundraising page" to get started making your own page.

 

After you enter your name and email and click "Create my page" you will then get two emails.

Great! You now are on your way to be a Florida Trail Supporter.

 

One of the emails: "Support my fundraising effort" is a default template used to share to your people.

 

The other email: "Personalize your Crowdfunding page - do not share link" will allow you to customize your page before sharing.

Open the email you got with the subject "Personalize your Crowdfunding page - do not share link" and click the "Personalize my page" button. From there follow the prompts to setup your page.

Open the email you got with the subject "Support my fundraising effort" and from there you can forward the email and customize it as you like. Note, if you click the button "Donate to my cause" that will go to your page and you can copy that link and share it too.

 

The next FAQ has some email templates you can use.

Email Template:

SUBJECT LINE: Please support my [CAMPAIGN NAME] [Example: Help the Trail] fundraiser for The Florida Trail Association

BODY: Hi there Family and Friends, I’m raising money for The Florida Trail Association, a nonprofit organization that builds, maintains, protects, and promotes the Florida National Scenic Trail (Florida Trail), and a network of hiking trails throughout the state of Florida.  I’m supporting The Florida Trail Association today because [THE REASON YOU WANT TO RAISE MONEY FOR OUR ORGANIZATION]. Please consider supporting my fundraising campaign by clicking on this link to my fundraising page. Every amount helps! If you’re unable to donate at this time, I’d appreciate it if you’d share my page on social media or forward this email to people in your network. Thank you so much!

Open up your social media and create a new post.

 

Now you can paste any images and your personalized fundraising page link right into your post.

At the bottom of the email you got with subject line "Personalize your Crowdfunding page - do not share link" the full link to your page is at the bottom of the email.
