Our Partners

The Florida Trail’s partners include federal, state, county, and local agencies; businesses and conservation nonprofits; and schools and universities. These groups have come together  to preserve and protect the Florida Trail as a unique public resource.

Agency and Land Managing Partners

The Florida Trail is the product of partnerships among local, state, and federal agencies; private landowners; and the volunteers of the Florida Trail Association, who build and maintain the trail on lands managed by our partners.

Since 1988, the USDA Forest Service and the Florida Trail Association have entered into cooperative trail management agreements with private and public land managers. These agreements certify that trail segments meet minimum standards, are open to the public, are protected, and provide the public with quality recreational opportunities. It takes the generosity of public-spirited land managers to ensure that Florida’s own National Scenic Trail becomes an unbroken wilderness corridor the length of the Sunshine State.

A complete list of land managers that host the Florida Trail can be found here.
