The Florida National Scenic Trail (FNST) has temporarily changed routes in Osceola County.
Northbound hikers will exit the Three Lakes WMA onto US 441 and will continue hiking north along US 441 for approximately 10 miles and then turn right onto Atlas Drive through a residential area in the Town of Holopaw. Take Atlas Drive east for approximately 1.4 miles to the Holopaw Neighborhood Park. At the park you will continue east over a footbridge (with a FNST kiosk) leading into the Triple N WMA. Follow the orange blazes through the Triple N WMA for approximately 10.5 miles and into the Herky Huffman/Bull Creek WMA where you will hike through the hunt camp along Crabgrass Road. You will leave the hunt camp area on Crabgrass Road heading east for approximately 0.4 miles where you will intersect a white-blazed trail. Take this white-blazed trail east for approximately 1.5 miles until you reach the orange-blazed FNST. Northbound FNST hikers will follow the orange blazes to the north.
Southbound hikers will enter the northeast corner of the Herky Huffman/Bull Creek WMA near US 192. Hike approximately 3 miles south along the FNST until you reach an intersection with a white-blazed trail that leads to the hunt camp. (Pay close attention and do not miss this white-blazed trail because the orange-blazed trail that continues south is not part of this temporary re-route.) Follow the white-blazed trail west for approximately 1.5 miles to Crabgrass Road. At Crabgrass Road you will follow the orange blazes west through and out the hunt camp approximately 1 mile until you reach the Triple N WMA near the intersection of Crabgrass Road and Jellison Road. From here you will follow the orange blazes for approximately 10.5 miles through the Triple N WMA until you reach a footbridge that leads into the Holopaw Neighborhood Park. From the park you will hike west on Atlas Drive through a residential area for approximately 1.4 miles. At the intersection of US 441 you will hike south along US 441 for approximately 10 miles until you reach the northeast corner of the Three Lakes WMA where you will continue your southbound hike.
