Due to the Major Fire two years ago and recent storms, the trail inside Juniper Prairie Wilderness is EXTREMELY challenging. There are hundreds if not thousands of downed trees making the trail nearly impassible. It is recommended to bypass the wilderness, especially the northern end if you are not up for the challenge. FTA will work to clear these trees as soon as possible.
