Title: Reroute Due to Eglin Timber Clearing Operation

Description: A timber clearing operation will be conducted on the Eglin Air Force Base and will impact a portion of the trail. The area this timber clearing operation is taking place in is in J-22 & J-24. J-22, where the trail will be minimally impacted. A reroute has been put in place for the time being while the timber clearing is occurring.
The reroute follows Range Road 386 for a very short distance then goes along Range Road 214 to just north of the clearing area. These range roads are wide dirt roads. Hikers should use caution in this area due to the logging operation and equipment being used. Hikers should also regularly check the Public Access Map (PAM) for additional closures.
