Our members receive many benefits, including automatic membership in a local chapter in your area, which holds its own meetings and activities and sends out a newsletter pertinent to what’s going on in your area; a subscription to the Footprint magazine; trail maintenance training workshops, including chainsaw certification; participation in Volunteer Work Parties, our team-building volunteer trail crews that tackle large projects like building bridges and boardwalks; a window decal and logo patch; opportunity to participate on decision-making committees covering major trail issues; and voting privileges.

Become a Trail Guardian! Protect a mile of the Florida Trail
Did you know that it costs $2 a day to protect and maintain each mile of the Florida Trail (FT)? That’s $3,000 a day for all 1,500 miles of the FT. Join us as a Founding Member of the Florida Trail Guardians.
Trail Guardians are members who contribute monthly to maintain and protect the trail. Your $5, $10 or $15 monthly gift would protect one mile of the trail for a month, two months, or three months over the course of a year. Once you become a monthly donor, your membership is ongoing. No more renewal notices – which also means you are also helping to reduce our costs and apply more resources to the trail.

The Florida Trail Association builds, maintains, protects, and promotes the unique Florida National Scenic Trail (Florida Trail). Together with our partners, and your generosity, we provide opportunities for the public to contribute to meaningful volunteer work, engage in outdoor recreation, and participate in environmental education.
