Photo Contest

Have an awe-inspiring photo taken on the Florida Trail? Share it with us! FTA is accepting submissions of digital images for the Official Calendar of the Florida Trail Association until March 15, 2024.

The photo should show the Florida Trail or a view from the Florida Trail. If people are visible in the photo they should be candid (posed shots cannot be considered). Close-ups of flowers and insects that do not say “Florida Trail!” will be admired but not selected.

Winners of this contest will be notified by March 31, 2024. They will be featured in the Official Calendar of the Florida Trail Association, and will also receive a framed edition of their photograph and three copies of the calendar!

Step 1: Make sure your photos qualify

• Photos must be in digital JPEG or TIFF format
• Photo must be at least 13 inches on the shorter dimension
• Resolution of no less than 300dpi, low-resolution JPEGs will not be considered.
  • To find out an image’s DPI in Windows, right-click on the file name and select Properties > Details. You’ll see the DPI in the Image section, labeled Horizontal Resolution and Vertical Resolution. On a Mac, you need to open the image in Preview and select Tools > Adjust Size. It’s labeled Resolution.
• The photo should show the Florida Trail or a view from the Florida Trail. Visible blazes are a bonus! If people are pictured in the photos, they must be candid (posed shots will not be considered). Close-ups of flowers and insects that do not say “Florida Trail!” will be admired but not selected.

Step 2: Submit your photo (one entry per form)

• Fill out the Google form to submit your photo by March 15th. ***If submitting multiple photos, submit the form for each entry separately.

Note: By entering the contest, you are giving FTA permission to use the photos for publicity and promotion of the Florida Trail.
