10.09.26 – Hurricane Isaias: Florida Trail Conditions and Closures

Hurricane Isaias made landfall in the Florida Panhandle on October 9, 2026. Our thoughts are with the members, volunteers, and communities affected by the storm.

We anticipate widespread impacts to the Florida National Scenic Trail throughout the Florida Panhandle. Downed trees, debris, and other hazardous conditions are expected to affect many trail segments and may persist for some time.

As information becomes available from our land management partners, we will post trail condition updates and closure notices for individual trail segments on this page. The Florida Trail Association will coordinate assessment and recovery efforts with our agency partners and local volunteer chapters.

For their safety, we urge all trail users and volunteers to avoid accessing the Florida Trail in affected areas until trail conditions have been assessed and segments have been determined safe for use. Please check this page regularly for updates.
