The Juniper Prairie Wilderness in Ocala National Forest is currently closed due to successive damage from fires and major storms. The Florida Trail is inaccessible between the Pat’s Island Trailhead and Juniper Springs Recreation Area.
Hikers are advised to follow an alternate route along FL-40, NF-33, and NF-46, as depicted in the attached map.
