Temporary Closure and Reroute
Effective immediately this portion of trail is closed and hikers must Dead River road as an alternative route. The current trail alignment is encroaching on private property which we do not have authorization to access and we ask for your cooperation in utilizing the reroute until we can work to resolve the property concerns or realign the trail.
It is very important that hikers stay on designated and marked trail throughout the Florida Trail and avoid closed areas and private property boundaries in order to maintain access and positive cooperative land owner agreements throughout the FT; your cooperation is greatly appreciated. We appreciate your understanding and support in this matter
